I'm officially published!
I'm officially published, yay! How cool is that? It was so awesome to see my name in print :D It was for a poem I did for the poetry institute of Canada, I posted it on my LJ a while back, I think its under the poetry tag. Plus a couple of my co workers said that it was really deep and it made them cry, well that wasn't bad for a half an hour of work! Now I just need to get my but in gear and do some more poetry, I've been in a slump lately.

I've been working on some Voyager icons to go along with my Voyager re watch and I was kind of thinking of doing a Picspam of each season, I don't know what does everyone think? Here's a sneak peek of some of the icons I've been working on:

I took a gander over at the Vancouver Con page  cause their haven't been any annoucements in a really long time, and they already have all the stars up in a banner at the top of the page, I hope this doesn't mean that that's all the guest were getting ? I mean their are some absolutely amazing guests this year but I was hoping for more and I was really hoping for David Hewlett!

Okay, on to totally random weird thoughts, that totally came out of the blue today. I was thinking about my Grandma's farm for some reason, I have no idea why? Anyway when I was their at Christmas time I was hanging around the yard and out in the pasture their were some bull's getting really friendly with each other if you know what I mean. I mean they were two guy cows totally trying to get some action, me and my aunt were talking and all of sudden these two gay cows were trying to mount each other. Okay, anyway it reminded me of this John/Rodney fic :) their was one, if I recall correctly where John and Rodney were cows! I just had to get that out their :D

Poem-Into The Fire
Here's a short poem I wrote a few days ago that I thought I would share.

Laying on the bed in the hot summer days they could almost feel time grind to a halt.
The caress of the gentle breeze slowly wafting over them
Moon and stars shining in on them like beacons drawing them near, touching them without realizing it
All they could do is lay still in the hotness of the day and surrender to it.

I just posted these in [personal profile] justwrite . I wrote these a while ago during lunch hour and they are most likely full of mistakes and may or may not make any sense. I thought I would share these poems since I have never really written anything before and I thought they were a good try for a first time writer.
