Blaze of glory

This song to me shows the day to day life of a hunter. The loneliness of it all, and not knowing where you will stay the night. I think these lyrics show the weariness of doing battle for a living. The constant pain of it all.

I wake up in the morning
And I raise my weary head
I've got an old coat for a pillow
And the earth was last night's bed

Dean by default is a wanderer and doesn't have a real sense of where he is going in life. Other than the fact that he is hunting evil and that is the only true thing that he follows. The things that he kills constantly weighs on his mind and he would have killed to have a normal life, a normal upbringing where he wouldn't have had to know about all the evils in the world. In the following lyrics it shows how the only person who really knows what he's done is god, about all the evil that he has killed.

I don't know where I'm going
Only God knows where I've been
I'm a devil on the run
A six gun lover
A candle in the wind

When Dean finally does die again he will go out in a blaze of glory. What with all the Demon trouble there is no way he's going to go out silently. He will want to go out in a blaze of glory and to take as many demon and evil as he can when he can. Hopefully he can take all of the evil when he does go.

I'm going out in a blaze of glory
Take me now but know the truth
I'm going out in a blaze of glory
Lord I never drew first
But I drew first blood
